Laura Bowyer writes "Falling Milk prices gave Cumbrian farmer Mike Walsh the nudge he needed to introduce a new retail concept onto his farm".
Speaking about regulations Mike says: "Every 90 days we receive a visit from the food standard agency which collects a sample of milk to be sent to the lab" Mike goes on to explain that they are allowed up to 20,000 total viable count (TVC) for each test and they have never had a reading over 800!. They are also allowed 99 coliforms which is essentially the measurement of how clean the milk is and they have never had a reading over 10.
